d'Art Center

The d'Art Center, housed in the historic Selden Arcade, is home to 30 studios for working artists in all mediums. The Center holds art classes for adults and children and often hosts private events and benefits. A new initiative, d'ART SMART collects art supplies for use by underserved young people.

Hurrah Players

Since 1984 the Hurrah Players has been bringing the magic of theater to hundreds of Hampton Roads young people. Children can take classes in theater arts as well as perform in the main stage productions mounted each season. Recognized repeatedly by local and regional media and theatrical organizations, the Hurrah Players have received many awards for its creative and innovative work. Shows are performed primarily at the TCC Roper Performing Arts Center.

Norfolk Festevents

Each year from February through October, Norfolk Festevents presents over 65 days of festivals, concerts, tall ship visits and other events and activities in Town Point Park and Ocean View Beach Park, both located on Norfolk's waterfronts.

Todd Rosenlieb's Dance headquarters are in the TRDance Center, a state-of-the-art brand new facility located in the heart of downtown Norfolk's renaissance district. At the Center, they offer a well-rounded environment to dancers of all ages. Whether they aspire to a professional career, or simply wish to dance for sheer pleasure, our students expect and benefit from, skilled, dedicated teachers who are committed to the proper training of dancers



Virginia Arts Festival

Begun in 1997 as a way to promote tourism, the VAF has become a much heralded rite of spring, welcoming internationally acclaimed artists from around the globe as well as the best of the region’s own professional arts organizations to present a dazzling lineup of music, theatre and dance. Festival events now take place in eight cities across Hampton Roads in concert halls, performing arts centers, opera houses, theatres, museums, outdoor stages, and historic churches. The Box Office is located at the MacArthur Center Customer Service Desk at 300 Monticello Avenue.

Virginia Opera is one of the finest opera companies in the nation and is the only company to perform regularly in three separate main stage venues.
