We will begin our new Member Briefing season with a very special guest speaker in a very special place. Our speaker will be Norfolk City Manager, Marcus Jones. On the job for just over seven months, our City Manager has successfully maneuvered through one of the most challenging city budgets ever; several changes in city staff and the opening of the single largest project ever undertaken by the City of Norfolk, that being Norfolk's Light Rail, The Tide. Marcus has accomplished these herculean tasks with a steady hand and a collaborative approach - both of which have been appreciated by the Norfolk community.

Marcus will share his thoughts and his vision for the future in the place where policies of the City of Norfolk are reviewed and made. Our meeting will be in the City Council Chamber, 11th floor, City Hall, 810 Union Street. Parking is available in the Union Street Parking garage or, Ride the Tide to the Civic Plaza station.
