The Virginia Symphony is one of Virginia’s premier arts organizations. It is the only orchestra in the state with membership in the International Conference of Symphony and Opera Musicians (ICSOM), and it will celebrate its 100th birthday in 2020-21. Please join The Norfolk Historical Society on March 14 when former orchestra member John Lindberg brings to life the history of VSO. From humble beginnings to the world class ensemble it has grown to be under the direction of JoAnn Falletta, the orchestra’s story is as beautiful as the music it performs.
