TRAFFIX is a public service program designed to promote and implement commuting options.

Established in 1995, TRAFFIX is a state funded Transportation Demand Management program (TDM) that assists with the state’s efforts to decrease traffic congestion during peak travel times. TRAFFIX staff encourages the use of transportation alternatives to help not only reduce traffic congestion in the Hampton Roads area but also to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Their service area includes the cities and counties that comprise Hampton Roads, and includes the Eastern Shore.
