You may think 2020 has been scary enough, but Halloween is on its way, and Downtown Norfolk has plenty of ways to celebrate the spookiest time of year while still being safe.
Arts Thursday: HalloweeNEON

Beneath the Surface: A Lochhaven Legend

Where: Hermitage Museum & Gardens
What: An immersive ghost hunting experience and theatrical event exploring a tragc death on the grounds of the Hermitage Museum + Gardens for ages 18 and up.
T.G.W.O. Series: Hocus Pocus Movie Night

Where: Town Point Park
What: Enjoy the movie "Hocus Pocus" by the waterfront in beautiful Town Point Park as part of Norfolk Festevents' Thank Goodness We're Open socially-distanced programming.
Die Laughing Halloween Spooktacular
When: Oct. 30 & 31 @ 6:30pm
Where: The Plot
What: Two nights of rib-tickling terror with Push Comedy, including crowd-favorite shows such as Tales from the Campfire and The Improvised Horror Movie, a Halloween Hell Maze, and a costume contest.
Fairies, Phantoms, and other Fanciful Delights
When: Oct. 30 @ 7:30pm & Oct. 31 @ 2:30pm
Where: A virtual event with Governor's School for the Arts
What: The Governor's School for the Arts' Vocal Music Department presents art songs for a spooky season. This event is virtual, and the stream can be purchases here.
Halloween at the Chrysler
When: Oct. 31 @ 10am-5pm
Where: Chrysler Museum of Art
What: The art comes alive at Chrysler Museum of Art on Halloween as staff members dress as their favorite works. Continue the fun after your visit with a free take-home art kit or tune into an 11am and 1pm spooky tour on Facebook Live.
Halloween Wine Tasting
When: Oct. 31 @ 1pm-4pm
Where: Omar’s Carriage House
What: Celebrate Virginia Wine Month with Omar's Carriage House and Williamsburg Winery's winemaker Matthew Meyer for a wine tasting and meal under Omar's beautiful tented patio. Costumes are encouraged! Call 757-622-4990 for reservations.
Halloween Night at Circuit Social

Where: Circuit Social
What: Spend Halloween night enjoying retro games at Circuit Social for a night of live music, dancing, and a costume contest. Winners of the contest will receive swag and a $20 game card.
