Are you a servicemember, first responder, teacher, or someone who serves our community? Service was a core value of General Douglas MacArthur - whether to the nation or to the community - and he recognized that families serve together. In that spirit, the MacArthur Memorial will host a FREE Military and Community Helper Family Appreciation Day on October 17, 2026.
Families are invited to enjoy special screenings of The Wizard of Oz (1939), along with complimentary snacks, candy bags, crafts, and other fun activities. Children are encouraged to come in costume and take part in audience‑favorite costume contests for a chance to win prizes.
The film begins at 10:30 a.m. and shows again at 2:30 p.m. Costume contests will take place after each showing and winners will be decided by audience applause! Crafts, snacks, and candy will be available throughout the day while supplies last.
