Experiment with form, texture and color while you hand build your own funky ceramic chickens!
Enjoy a creative afternoon with Instructor Carley Harris while you learn how to hand build your own spring chickens out of clay. Experiment with form, texture and color!
In Session 1: Using slabs of rolled out clay, you'll build, form and smooth your own chicken shapes with hands-on guidance provided by Carley as needed. Add on decorative elements and anything that adds character to your chickens. You'll be provided with enough clay to create one medium and one small chicken.
In Session 2: Your chickens will be ready to accept glaze! You'll spend this session applying glaze in solid or patterned applications using a variety of available colors. You'll be contacted in about a week to pick up your completed piece when it has been glaze fired in the kiln.
