North Carolina-based rock band American Aquarium has created compelling roots music for over 16 years, led by front man BJ Barham, who picked up the trail blazed by Whiskeytown and Drive-by Truckers, with songs that chime with the ring of truth. They are a rock ‘n’ roll band run by a folk singer, playing an acoustic guitar turned up to 11.
