First Friday Volunteer

Be part of Downtown Norfolk’s signature street party! First Fridays bring Granby Street to life with live music, food, and community fun. Volunteers help with set-up, welcoming guests, and keeping the event running smoothly.

The Plot Cleanup Volunteer – NEON Festival Preparation
Saturday, October 4 at The Plot in the NEON District
Pitch in to get the NEON District ready for its biggest weekend of the year. Volunteers will help spruce up The Plot and surrounding spaces so the neighborhood shines for visiting artists and festival crowds.

Brew Crew Volunteer – NEON Festival
Friday, October 17 in the NEON District
Join the Brew Crew at the 10th Annual NEON Festival! Volunteers will assist with beverage service, making sure festivalgoers stay refreshed while enjoying Norfolk’s celebration of art, music, and creativity.

Welcoming & Wayfinding Volunteer – NEON Festival

Help guests feel at home in the NEON District. Wayfinding volunteers greet attendees, answer questions, and guide people to performances, murals, and activities throughout the festival footprint.
