Fire, glass, and performance collide in the return of Vitreous Theater at the newly expanded Perry Glass Studio.

Presented by The Sisters in Silica—Chrysler Museum Glass Studio alumnae Kimberly McKinnis, Suzanne Peterson, and Heather Sutherland—A Glass Spectacle is a one-night-only event reimagining glassmaking as immersive performance art.

Expect surreal, pyro-centric scenes: molten rain on a glass umbrella, scalding double Dutch with “glasma,” glass cotton candy spun live, and flaming confetti raining from the sky. Each moment is choreographed with fire, backed by live music from singer-songwriter frau (@wowitsfrau).

This is not your typical glass demo. As Robin Rogers, Perry Glass Studio’s director, puts it: “The moment is the product.”
