As part of Downtown Norfolk’s celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Week, we are having an #unselfie contest to encourage the community to do small things that can make a big difference. It’s easy, just do something kind and tell us about it. Buy coffee for a stranger, bring sweet treats for your office, donate used clothing, pick up trash in your neighborhood…you get the idea. At the end of the week DNC will randomly select someone that has shared their Random Act of Kindness with us and we will donate $200 directly to the charity of the winner’s choice.

How to enter: 
Do a Random Act of Kindness and share it with us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. For Facebook, post a photo/video on our page and include an explanation of your Random Act of Kindness. For Instagram or Twitter, post and photo/video with your explanation and tag @downtownnorfolk and use #unselfieNFK. All unselfie’s must be posted with the #unselfieNFK hashtag by Friday, February 17th. 

Rules:
Enter as many times as you would like. Invite your family and friends to participate. If you post on your personal timeline you must change settings to public to be eligible for this contest, or just post directly to the DNC page. Entries will be reviewed and a winner will be announced on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. The winner will select their charity of choice for DNC to directly donate $200 in the winner’s name. Donation will NOT be given to the winner, but provided directly to the charity by DNC.
