Norfolk Arts grantee, The ODU Literary Festival presents "What We Ask of Flesh" featuring a new dance by Christal Brown & INSPIRIT dance company, inspired by the poetry of Norfolk based educator, Remica Bingham-Risher, and the caregiver’s journey through Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Conceptual Architect Christal Brown has brought together a cast of movement artists, composers, writers, and technologists to present an immersive evening of dance and installation that explores the tapestry between internal and external realities.
Several free events are planned from October 5-10, 2025 at Old Dominion University as part of their 48th Annual Literary Festival.
