Hampton Roads Transit invites you to try transit for free on Juneteenth. On Wednesday, June 19, all bus, light rail, ferry, trolley, and paratransit service will be fare free.

This is the fifth year HRT has offered free fare to commemorate the Juneteenth holiday. Since Juneteenth is a state and federal holiday, HRT bus, light rail, and base express services will operate on a Saturday schedule.

The Elizabeth River Ferry will operate on its regular weekday schedule.
