The MacArthur Memorial hosts Nicole Gordon, daughter of Beate Sirota Gordon, to discuss her mother's critical role in forming the constitution that still guides Japan today. The presentation will be followed by an audience Q&A.

Dr. Nicole Gordon is currently serving as Faculty Director of the Baruch College Executive M.P.A. Program and is a Distinguished Lecturer of Public Affairs at CUNY. She has over 25 years experience in government and non-profit leadership including as executive director of the Campaign Finance Board in New York City, vice president of the JEHT Foundation, and executive director of the Marshall Project. Dr. Gordon also served as counsel for the New York State Commission on Government Integrity and as president of the Council on Governmental Ethics Laws. In addition, she has served as counsel and litigator for public and private legal teams and taught at several universities on subjects of law, public policy, and public administration. She is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law and Barnard College.
