This workshop teaches photographers how to translate their images into tangible, tactile zines. We will blend photography with prose, exploring high contrast layout techniques and the art of manual binding. Learn how to sequence your images for maximum impact and integrate text to create a cohesive narrative using traditional "foldie" techniques. Every participant will leave with a finished, hand-folded photo zine.
All supplies are included but participants should come with their own photographs.

About the Instructor:
Rich Justis is a Norfolk based artist and community organizer operating at the intersection of DIY publishing and high concept illustration. As the lead organizer for Norfolk Zinefest and with a background in museum education and community arts programming, his workshops prioritize the translation of complex ideas into clear, graphic forms.
His practice focuses on the transition from digital concepts to physical objects, emphasizing the importance of tangible media in a screen heavy world. Through his workshops and curation, Rich bridges the gap between institutional spaces and the raw, essential grit of zine culture, helping artists and enthusiasts alike find the profound in the simple act of making.
