First Fridays After Party: October 4, 2019

First Fridays kicks off your night in Downtown Norfolk. But you don't have to go home: you CAN stay here. There is always a party going on somewhere in Downtown Norfolk. Here's what we suggest for October 4.

After First Fridays

Grab some amazing Southern grub and get ready to laugh til it hurts at Stand Up Comedy night at Southern Eats, starting at 8pm.
Two Hand Touch playing at Brick Anchor Brew-House starting at 8pm.
Red Stapler Duo will be playing at Tap It Local starting at 9pm.
Snackbar Jones will have you dancing the night away at a free concert indoors at Waterside District starting at 9pm. And Waterside District is offering a special $10 off discount for First Fridays attendees to their Foam Party on Saturday, October 5 -- just use promo code FRIDAY10 when puchasing tickets here.
You pick the songs with Request Station at Hell's Kitchen starting at 10pm.
JJ Smith, artist originally from Scotland, will be performing at Grace O'Malley's Irish Pub & Restaurant from 9pm-1am.
Catch Austin Ferguson performing at Grain.
Enjoy a performance by Chris Hall at Varia.
Jazz singer, pianist, and flutist Jennifer Gammill performs at Gershwin's from 8pm-10pm, followed by Jazz vocalist Elizabeth Joy Terrell from 10pm-1am at Gershwin's.
Push Comedy is always a Friday night scene, right in the heart of the NEON District. And while you're in the neighborhood, why not grab a taco at Sanctuary after the show?
After 9pm, entrance to Circuit Social is 21 and up only. Have a blast playing over 80 arcade games, checking out the self-serve taps, and noshing on bites to keep the hunger pangs away.

Happy Hours and Specials

Enjoy happy hour specials at Brick Anchor Brew-House, including $3 well drinks, $4 house wine, $1.50 off VA draft beers, and $1 off VA bottled/canned beers, and some $6 food offerings.
Friday is Steak Night at Tap It Local from 5pm-9pm - $15.00 for steak served with red skin mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. They will also have happy hour drinks available, $2 well drinks, $4 wine, and $5 drafts.
Grab a delicious full meal at Freemason Abbey with their special $30 October Three Course Menu.
Happy hour is on at Hell's Kitchen from 4pm-7pm, featuring $2.50 single shot well liquor drinks, Bud Light, Budweiser, Miller Lite, Coors Light, Yuengling, Michelob Ultra bottles, and Bud Light draft, $2 PBR draft, and 1/2 off select appetizers (snack sized smaller portions).
Hair of the Dog's happy hour is perfect for before, during, or after First Fridays. It goes from 2pm-9pm and includes half off appetizers and drinks.
219 Bistro will have happy hour available from 3pm-7pm.
It's Shrimp Night at 456 Fish, and happy hour goes from 4pm-7pm in their bar & lounge. 456 Fish will also be offering their Friday Night Flights special: choose any 3 wines by the glass for $9.
Norfolk Seafood Co. & Big Easy Oyster Bar will have happy hour at their bar from 4pm-7pm.
Leone's will have happy hour in their bar and lounge from 4pm-7pm.
You can enjoy the evening at Southern Eats, where happy hour goes from 3pm-7pm, featuring $3 Blue Moon, Pacifico’s, Angry Orchard, Corona & Heineken, $2 domestics, $2 wells, $6 House Margaritas and 1800 Silver, and half off appetizers.
Norfolk Tap Room will be offering $4.50 Beer Specials, $5 Sangrias, $5 Butter Beer, and $6 Tap Room Tea during their happy hour special.

The Barrel Room has happy hour from 4pm-7pm, offering $4 premium wells and house wines, $1 off all beers, and $6 select appetizers.
Grace O'Malley's Irish Pub & Restaurant has happy hour from 11am-7pm.
