Details
Two bronze maps were created for the opening of MacArthur Center by artist Gregg LeFevre. The first map is embedded in the concrete plaza outside the southwest entrance. It represents a compass with key locations in Hampton Roads, such as the Chesapeake Bay, the Governor’s Palace in Williamsburg and the shore of Virginia Beach. The second map, located at the north exit of the mall, near the Moses Myers House, depicts Downtown Norfolk as far back as 1824.
