Feast on Fall Flavors

Comfort-food season is upon us, and Downtown Norfolk's restaurants and coffee shops are ready for it! We've pulled together some of the must-have-crave-worthy-fall-favorites for you here.

1.) Embrace fall's flavors with the fall drink menu at Cure Coffeehouse

Cure Coffeehouse has officially launched their fall drink menu, so be prepared to experience all things fall with their Roasted Pumpkin Latte, Vanilla-Thyme-Cardamom Latte, Golden Milk Latte, Spiced Apple Cider and new autumnal cocktail additions, the White Russian, Bourbon Chai and Spiked Cider.

2.) Savor some ultimate comfort food at Hair of the Dog

Hair of the Dog has some amazing brunch items, so many Bloody Mary combinations, and specialty fall coffees (hello, pumpkin spice!), but right now we want to talk about one of the best parts of fall: the comfort food, which Hair of the Dog has a-plenty. We're talking about decadent Biscuits & Gravy, Chicken and Waffles, and next level Homemade Meatloaf (it's wrapped in bacon... need we say more?).

3.) Get your Vitamin C fix at d'Egg Diner

We can't think of a better way to get a Vitamin C boost this fall than a tall glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice. Luckily, it's easy to get some fresh squeezed juice in Downtown Norfolk without having to do it yourself: a visit to Downtown staple, d'Egg Diner! Established in 2004, d'Egg fresh squeezes their orange juice every day in house, and you can enjoy that juice on it's own or as part of a mimosa.

4.) Cozy up to a warm bowl of soup from The Stockpot

It is safe to say The Stockpot does soup right: they started as a soup pop-up at a local farmer's market, after all. Though they now offer stellar and creative salads, a changing lineup of toasties, an amazing assortment of tasty pastries, and delicious cocktails, we still think fall is the perfect season to enjoy one of the soups that started it all.

5.) Warm up with some hot coffee and boost your immunity at Town Center Cold Pressed

Town Center Cold Pressed has you covered with delicious lattes and warm bowls of oatmeal. They also have six different immunity shots to keep you healthy this season.

6.) Behold the return of another Downtown fall staple: Pumpkin and Crab Bisque from Todd Jurich's Bistro

There are some parts of fall you just can't help but look forward to: the changing leaves, the cooler temperatures, and the return of the silky smooth flavor combo of pumpkin and crab to warm you up on a crisp, fall day. Todd Jurich's Bistro has officially brought this crowd-pleaser back for 2020!
