The work is a large, cast bronze relief that depicts General MacArthur wading ashore in Inchon, Korea during World War II. The bronze sits on an exterior wall of the Memorial building, facing the street. It was generously donated by the Republic of Korea (South Korea) Department of Defense to the General MacArthur Memorial Building for the citizens of Norfolk.
