Where is the best place to get custom gifts?

Where can I pick up alcohol and groceries to go?

While we don’t have a traditional grocery store, we have plenty of opportunities to grab some necessities. Granby Bistro is just like a big city bodega, with everything from deli meats and homemade baklava and prepared meals to spices, cleaning supplies and cold beer. You can also grab your favorite libations at Vino Culture Wine Shop or the ABC store on Granby Street.   

Where can I find good deals for lunch?

Hell's Kitchen has daily lunch specials, Famous Uncle Al's is iconic for its affordable and delicious lunch options, grab a slice and a soda at Granby Pizza or Chicho's Backstage, drink your lunch with a healthy smoothie or smuice from Town Center Cold Pressed, and the Lizard Cafe at Prince Books is a favorite for their lunch combos. Where can I picnic?

Downtown is full of options for a little outdoor respite to enjoy the scenery and grab a bite. Town Point Park isn’t just for festivals, it’s a beautiful green space with plenty of benches and shady spots. Situated between the Waterside Marina and Waterside District, TowneBank Fountain Park has shade, furniture and even a fountain to cool you off if you are so inclined. The Pagoda and Garden, located on the waterfront in the Freemason Harbor, might be one of the most tranquil and calming spots in all of Norfolk. The MacArthur Memorial Museum has a beautiful outdoor plaza filled with history. 

Where can I check out the art scene?

What restaurants are on the waterfront?

It’s hard to beat a delicious meal overlooking stunning waterfront views and Downtown has several options. Waterside Seafood Company is located in the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Grab an orange crush and even play a round of ping pong at Blue Moon Taphouse, and right next door is Stripers Waterside with comfortable outdoor seating and fire pits. And you can enjoy waterfront views from above at Grain's Rooftop Lounge at Norfolk Hilton The Main.

Kid-friendly really depends on the kid, but we’ve put together a list of family-friendly restaurants that will likely have something on the menu for even the pickiest of eaters. 

What restaurants have good vegan and vegetarian options?

These days, most restaurants have some good options for vegetarians and vegans, but here are a few in Downtown that are known for their yummy and plentiful options: Saffron Indian Bistro, Commune, Hell's Kitchen, and The Stockpot Norfolk.

Where can I get a sweet treat?

Here are some spots dedicated to sweet treats: The Stockpot Norfolk, Hummingbird Macarons and Desserts, La Brioche French BakeryS'mores Amore and Café Geneviève in Selden Market, and Lamia's Crepes.

Where can I charge an electric car?

Electric car chargers are available in the Waterside, MacArthur Center, Bank Street and Town Point Garages. Chargers are both universal and Tesla specific. Users are only charged regular garage parking rates, once in the garage, there is no additional fee to use the chargers.
