November Member Briefing

In January of this year, City Council approved a resolution authorizing the City of Norfolk and the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority to begin a planning process with residents and community stakeholders for transformation of the area now known as the St. Paul’s Area (Tidewater Gardens, Young Terrace and Calvert Square).  The development of this revitalization plan will help break the cycle of intergenerational poverty by rebuilding the area to improve resilience of both human capital and environment.

Join us for our November Member Briefing where speakers Susan L. Perry, Ph.D., Special Assistant to the City Manager for Poverty Reduction and Community Initiatives and John Kownack, Executive Director, Norfolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority will discuss details of this new plan.

We are pleased to have MacArthur Center as our host and sponsor for this month’s Member Briefing.  Following the program you are invited to linger and enjoy a sneak peek of the MacArthur Center Ice Palace in Center Court.
